The Healthy Skin Guide for Beautiful Glowing Skin
Want more information on skincare products and tips for healthy glowing skin? A new facial skin routine, how to care for your face and body? Does your skin show the age you really are? Or you may be just lucky and have that non-blemished, tinted skin that just glows.
However, your lifestyle has a huge effect on skin health and it shows within the skin. If you smoke, spend a lot of time in the sun or suffer from dry skin, you will age more quickly and look older than you really are. Nowadays there are many skin care and anti-ageing products to treat all our skin needs. This multibillion dollar industry ensures that it is never too late to look after your skin.
The skin is the largest organ of the human body. So let us protect it while reducing the risk of ageing and keeping our skin looking young and beautiful. Our skin has a huge impact on our health. Problematic, oily, dry and wrinkled skins can show first signs of poor health which results from bad eating habits and a lack of proper nutrients and vitamins. A large number of people spend much on beauty and home-care retail products, however they do very little to address the underlying conditions of poor diet. Most people accept the dictum that “you are what you eat”, but in practice ignore the advice and the result shows in the way their skin looks and feels.
Most of us tend to feel guilty about the amount of money we are spend on our beauty products, especially after being advised by a beauty therapist about what products best suit our skin type. Products we put on our skin will help, but do we ever consider the foods that can worsen our skin conditions? Healthy foods can improve our looks.
You only need to use a minimal amount of suitable products for your skin type to keep it well maintained. If you follow a correct skin-care routine you will ensure a healthy, glowing skin. Yet we still take skin for granted. Remember, a glowing complexion reflects an inner health – and it shows. Never neglect your skin.
It really is so simple to follow a basic daily skincare routine.
• When outdoors always apply sunscreen, tinted moisturiser or make-up that has a high SPF. Even if it is overcast or raining you can still be sunburnt. At best, sunburn causes the skin to age dramatically and worse there is heightened risk of skin cancer.
• Always remove your makeup at night before going to sleep.
• Try to give your skin a break from make-up at least once a week.
• Avoid harsh soap-based products on your skin; choose natural options instead.
• Keep skin cleansed, exfoliated and moisturised daily.
What are you using on your skin? A majority of people still choose to buy cheap beauty products from supermarkets that strip the skin, making it sensitive and causing skin conditions to flare up. There are so many skincare products available today and one reliable guide to choosing a product is to understand a little about skin PH. The acidity or alkalinity in the outer layers of the skin is measured on the PH scale. On the PH scale, 0-7 is acidic; 7 is neutral; 7-14 is alkaline. The normal PH of the skin ranges between 4.2 to 5.6 (which is slightly acidic). Some soap bars are 9 on the scale, that is, quite alkaline! Why do those concerned about skin health continue to use these soap products when they are damaging to skin? It is never too late to look after our body’s largest organ. Begin today – it is never too late.
